Activate Your License

After purchasing Plus, Lifetime, or Lifetime Plus, activate your license in Stenox to unlock unlimited dictation.

Open Stenox Settings

Click the Stenox menu bar icon → Settings

Go to License Tab

Select the License tab in Settings

Sign In or Enter License Key

Depending on your purchase method:
  • Sign in with the email used for purchase, or
  • Enter license key if you received one via email

Verify Activation

Your license status will show as Active with your plan details

License Status

In Settings → License, you’ll see:
  • Plan name — Free, Plus, Lifetime, or Lifetime Plus
  • Status — Active or Inactive
  • Features — What’s included in your plan

Go to stenox.app/pricing and choose your plan

Complete Checkout

Payments are processed securely by Polar

Receive License Key

Your license key will be emailed to you immediately after purchase

Activate in Stenox

Open Stenox → Settings → License and sign in with your purchase email
The email you use during checkout is important — it’s used for your license key delivery, billing management, and portal access.

License Types

Manage Your License

Update Payment (Plus)

For Plus subscriptions:
  1. Go to Settings → License
  2. Click Manage Subscription
  3. Update payment method in the billing portal

Cancel Subscription (Plus)

  1. Go to Settings → License
  2. Click Manage Subscription
  3. Select Cancel Subscription
After canceling, you’ll retain Plus access until the end of your billing period, then revert to Free tier.

Transfer License

Paid licenses (Plus, Lifetime, Lifetime Plus) can be active on up to 3 Macs. To add a new Mac:
  1. Sign in on the new Mac with the same email
  2. If you’ve reached the limit, sign out on an old Mac first (Settings → License → Sign Out)

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure you’re using the same email you used during checkout
  • Check your email (including spam) for the license key from Polar
  • Try signing out and signing back in
  • Still stuck? Contact Stenox support — we’ll get you sorted
Search your email inbox for “Polar” or “Stenox” to find your purchase receipt. The email address on that receipt is your license email.
Paid licenses can be activated on up to 3 Macs per user. Simply sign in with the same email on each Mac. Need more? Contact support.
Payments are processed by Polar. If payment fails:
  • Verify your payment method is valid
  • Check with your bank for any blocks
  • Try a different payment method
  • Contact Stenox support if issues persist
